Gir National Park is famous as the home of the Asiatic Lion. Apart from being home to this regal predator, Gir is also a delight for birdwatchers. A wide range of activities are on offer such as jeep safaris into the reserve for wildlife viewing, nature walks and treks around the lodge, and local village and temple visits.
One can also enjoy our in-house yoga and meditation facilities. Spend your days on the trail of the King of the Jungle with a wildlife safari, or watching and photographing birds with our expert in-house naturalist, while your nights can be enjoyed watching a local tribal dance or, in winter, around a cosy bonfire.
At your stay in Gir Birding Lodge, you will get accommodation in two different sorts of standard rooms which are in the Lodge’s main building. Apart from the standard rooms, the lodge provides deluxe cottages and standard cottages, that are well furnished with all modern amenities. Our guests are always extremely comfortable while staying in our cottages and rooms here, as they are surrounded by Kesar Mango groves, the pride of the beautiful Gir hills.

We all enjoyed our stay at the lodge. Great food, friendly staff. The manager we first met at Pangot and she remembered us & gave a friendly greeting. Would love to stay here again.
Excellent place to eat & stay. The very friendly staff gives you a warm welcome & the fulfill all your wishes concerning foods & hospitality. I feel sorry to leave, because we become friends. But maybe we meet again and that is special for the lovely and friendly manager.

Thanks for this pleasant stay by the mango trees. We enjoyed every minute and the sightings of Lion & Leopard were dream-like. Also the walk by river with all these birds were quite exotic for us. The staff have been pleasant & helpful.
Wonderful journey to reserve the last of the Asiatic lions. I was not disappointed, saw a leopard & pride of lions, and enjoyed the stay. Lovely staff and stunning peaceful surrounding.
